When Baby Fever Strikes What Choices Does A Woman Have?

By Karen Wilder

More and more women are waiting till later in life to start a family. Though they focus on their career first and plan to have children when they are established professionally, thoughts can rapidly turn from career to children as they attend a friend's baby shower, or similar event, and they discover they are very envious of all of the moms to be.

Baby fever can strike without any warning and can get almost to the point of not being glad for expectant friends. The dreams of the perfect, fairy-tale stories of love, marraige, and family slowly fade and thoughts turns to how do they have baby and have a baby now.

As a woman sees all the people around them starting on the business of starting their own families, what options have they got if they decide to have a child too? Obviously a committed, significant relationship with a similarly minded partner is an excellent place to start to take things naturally but many women are surprised to know that beyond just having a child it can be possible to have a child of a specific gender.

Many studies and researchers have assembled a large amount of anecdoctal proof that suggests that by monitoring and understanding your menstrual cycle you can choose to conceive a boy or a girl with a high degree of precision. For women that find this important, this revelation is usually both surprising and very welcome.

While experiencing baby fever can strike a woman at nearly any time, and is quite often caused by a specific event, for most women there are a selection of options open to her to not only have a child but to have a child of a particular sex. Baby fever is just an emotional phrase for a superbly natural emotional response and is best looked upon as the opportunity it is.
