Tips To Help You On The Road To Falling Pregnant

By Karen Wilder

For some women becoming pregnant appears to happen relatively simply while for others it just doesn't appear to occur fast enough. Women that have waited until later along in life and made a conscious decision to get pregnant regularly find themselves asking a direct question: How do I get pregnant?

Ironically most women know a lot more about the best way to not get pregnant than how to get pregnant. It is much more likely for a woman to be aware of many more methods to stop conception throughtout her fertile years than ways to get pregnant. After all , when you decide the time is right, we are given to believe it'll happen. In fact that isn't always the case so here are some things you can do to help you get pregnant faster.

The first thing you need to do is visit your doctor or gynecologist for a thorough physical. The lingering effects of illnesses, sexually communicated diseases and poor health in general can influence your ability to get pregnant. Your healthcare provider will be in a position to help you identifiy and treat any problems you might have.

Having sex more often near to the time you ovulate will also help you get pregnant. You only have about 24 hours when the egg is viable for fertilization after ovulation so make the best use of that time. Knowing when you're ovulating can be determined using an ovulation predictor kit or fertility monitor. Using sex positions that keep the sperm in the vagina for a longer time period will also help you in your efforts.

Lastly try and keep yourself in fine shape physically and mentally as you try and get pregnant. Although getting pregnant sometimes takes longer than we'd like, don't let baby fever consume your life. In the long term, whatever occurs, you and your family will thank you.
