Preventing Stretchmarks while Carrying a child Is Easier than You Might Think

By Mike Molmews

Preventing stretchmarks when pregnant is much easier than you might think. There are many different options for doing so and most are reasonably inexpensive. When you start looking for these treatments, there are a couple of things to remember.

How are Stretch Marks Formed?

Stretch marks stem from tears in the middle layer of skin. The result is a thinner layer of skin on top and the appearance of stretch marks. The tears are caused when the skin stretches past its elasticity point, as frequently occurs while pregnant. These tears are often very tough to treat after they appear.

These marks first appear as kind of red or purplish lines, but eventually fade away to silver or white. They're most typical on the stomach, hips, thighs, and higher arms. While pregnant the skin stretches too quickly to avoid the ripping in the middle layer of skin, resulting in these lines.

Can Stretch Marks be Thrown out?

While there are treatments for stretch-marks when you get them, the best thing to do is to stop them. Some of the stretch mark remover solutions are extraordinarily expensive and can even need anesthesia. These treatments can also cost thousands of dollars and many need a few visits to the dermatological doctor. By forestalling these embarrassing lines, you can save yourself a lot of time and money in the future.

How to Prevent Stretchmarks during Pregnancy

One of the most effective methods of preventing Pregnancy Stretch Marks is to use a good stretch mark prevention cream. These products are simply found and historically awfully inexpensive. Most will contain cocoa butter, emu oil, olive oil, aloe vera, and vitamin E. These creams, particularly the cocoa butter for stretch marks creams, deeply penetrate the skin and help to improve the collagen level.

Collagen is what makes the skin elastic. By raising the level of collagen in the skin, the skin will stretch further without any damage. Most of these creams will need you to apply them at least two times a day to get the most benefits.

Look for pregnancy stretch mark creams that are all natural to avoid any likelihood of chemicals that might be dangerous to your baby. Many women find it is simple to leave the tube of cream under their pillow so they can apply before going to bed and getting up in the morning.

It is important to note that many girls have a hereditary disposition toward stretch marks. Regardless of if you have got this trait, you can still cut back the amount of stretch marks that you get when you are pregnant. While each girl wants to avoid them all together, if you can cut the quantity of stretchmarks in half, it's much better than not doing anything to stop them.
